Chateau Latour Santenay, Rouge, Premier Cru, 2017, Cote de Beaune, Burgundy, France

  • Santenay is the most southerly village in the Côte de Beaune and produces both red and white wines. The red wines from Santenay are reputed to be tannic and well-structured. With a bright ruby color, the Santenay 2017 offers a nose with an impressive cherry perfume. Its mouth is round, sophisticated with silky tannins and some morello cherry notes.
  • Goes well with: Rabbit terrine - beef in wine sauce - foie gras with apples - Brie cheese
  • Domaine Louis Latour covers 48 hectares of vineyard, from the red Grand Cru of Chambertin and Romanée-Saint-Vivant in the Côte de Nuits to the white Grand Cru of Corton-Charlemagne and Chevalier-Montrachet in the Côte de Beaune. Today, Louis Latour's vineyards, represent the largest holding of Grand Cru vineyards in Burgundy.
